Rebuildable and Repaired Used Vehicles

Rebuildable and repaired are not the same vehicle
A rebuildable is sold as a project. It needs work done before it is roadworthy again, and in general terms a vehicle like that often carries a salvage-branded title, the label a state applies once an insurer or a shop has written a vehicle off as a total loss. Buying one means buying the work still ahead of you, not a car you drive off the lot the same afternoon.
A repaired vehicle is the other end of that same process. The work has already been done, so what you are looking at is closer to a finished car than a stack of tasks. Mills sells both, side by side, and knowing which one you are looking at is the first thing worth sorting out before you ask about either.

What to ask before you buy a rebuildable
Ask what damage the vehicle actually has. A rebuildable can mean anything from cosmetic bodywork to a car that still needs a transmission, and the honest answer changes how much work you are signing up for. Ask about the title status too, since that label follows the vehicle and matters again the next time it changes hands.
Then ask what parts it still needs, and whether Mills already has those parts on the racks. A used vehicle lot and a used parts yard sitting on the same property is not a coincidence. If the fender, the engine or the transmission your rebuildable needs is already wrapped and tagged a hundred feet away, that is worth knowing before you commit to the vehicle.

Title and inspection rules are not the same everywhere
Every state handles a salvage or rebuilt title a little differently, and what counts as roadworthy again is not a fixed number, it is a set of requirements that can change. Rather than guess, confirm the current rules directly with the Indiana BMV before you buy, so you know exactly what a rebuildable needs to pass before it goes back on the road under a new title.
That call is worth making early, not after the vehicle is already yours. Mills can walk you through what a specific car needs mechanically. What Indiana requires to retitle it is the state's answer, not the yard's, and the two are worth keeping separate as you shop.
