Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and shipping are available on most parts, so a customer a long way from Fort Wayne doesn't have to make the drive to get what's on the rack.
Chapter 01
Not everyone can make the drive, so most parts can
Plenty of customers do make the trip themselves. A family once drove more than 200 miles each way to pick up a fender that Amanda had already checked against the paint code, and Richard Trice made a long trip up from southern Indiana for a part he'd had pulled ahead of time. Both of those are real trips real people made because the part on the rack was worth the drive.
Not everyone can spare that kind of afternoon, and that's what delivery and shipping are for. Most parts in the yard can go out to you instead of you coming to get them. It doesn't replace the option to drive in and look a part over yourself, it just means the distance to Adams Center Rd doesn't have to decide whether you can get the part at all.

What to have ready when you call
Have the part, the vehicle, and the destination ready before you dial (260) 493-1553. The part and the vehicle it's going into let us pull the right one off the rack. The destination address lets us tell you what it takes to get it there.
Say whether it's headed to a shop or to a home, too. A shop that's expecting the part and has someone to receive it is a different job than a delivery to a driveway, and it's easier to sort that out on the call than after the part is already on its way.
Chapter 03
How the bigger parts travel
An engine or a transmission goes out wrapped in plastic and strapped down to a pallet, the same way it sits on the rack inside the Quonset, so it arrives the way it left. Body panels need their edges protected differently, since a scuffed corner on a fender defeats the point of buying one that was already color-matched.
None of that is a promise about a particular carrier, a delivery window, a cost or a tracking number. Those specifics depend on the part, the distance and what's headed out that week, which is exactly why they get confirmed on the phone rather than promised on a page.
When it's better to just pick it up
Big or awkward parts, an engine block, a full door assembly, are sometimes easier collected in person than shipped, and if you want to check the part over yourself before it leaves the yard, that's reason enough on its own to come get it.
Either way, ask for it to be pulled ahead of your visit so it's off the rack and waiting rather than something the yard has to go find while you stand there. Whether your specific part ships, needs pickup, or works either way is something we can only confirm on the call, so that's always the first question worth asking.
